Strategic Plan

Established Jan. 1 1922, OMCAR has been North Central Florida’s trusted voice of real estate for more than a century. We are proud to continue building upon a rich history of deep involvement in Ocala and surrounding communities in Marion County, and strive to be the best business and public policy advocates for our members and the communities we serve.

Through our valued connections to the Florida REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, and resources like Stellar MLS, we equip members with the knowledge and tools needed to serve their clients with integrity and innovation, ensuring that North Central Florida’s REALTORS® are among the best in their profession.

 

OMCAR’s Anti-Trust Statement

Ocala Marion County Association of REALTORS® are devoted to improving the competitive business conditions of the real estate industry, including adherence to all antitrust laws. To that end, the topics for our meetings will focus on advancing the interests of real estate professionals and consumers of real estate services and increasing competition. The following discussion topics are always prohibited: agreements to fix prices, limit product or service offerings, allocate geographical territory or customers, and refuse to deal. Any discussion inconsistent with this policy will not be tolerated.

Objectives

  • UNITE those engaged in the recognized branches of the real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon the profession and related interests.
  • PROMOTE and maintain high standards of conduct in the real estate profession as expressed in the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®.
  • PROVIDE a unified medium for real estate owners and those engaged in the real estate profession, whereby their interests may be safeguarded and advanced.
  • FURTHER the interests of home and other real estate property ownership.
  • ENGAGE to unite those engaged in the real estate profession in this community with Florida REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, thereby furthering their own objectives throughout the state and nation, and obtaining the benefits and privileges of membership therein.
  • DESIGNATE for the benefit of the public, individuals authorized to use the terms REALTOR® and REALTORS® as licensed, prescribed and controlled by the National Association of REALTORS®
